Refund & Return Policy

FarmSiddhi is committed to supplying agricultural products that meet the agreed quality specifications. This policy outlines the process and conditions for claims, returns, and refunds.

Nature of Agricultural Products

Agricultural commodities are perishable and subject to natural variation. FarmSiddhi takes every possible step to ensure quality consistency; however, Buyers are advised that minor natural variations in colour, size, and aroma within accepted tolerance ranges do not constitute grounds for return or refund.

All quality benchmarks are defined in the signed purchase contract and Certificate of Analysis (CoA) issued with each consignment.

Eligibility for Claims

A return or refund claim is eligible under the following circumstances:

  • The product delivered does not conform to the agreed grade or specification as per the purchase contract
  • The product fails laboratory tests for pesticide residues, microbial contamination, or other regulated parameters
  • The product is found to be adulterated or mislabelled
  • The consignment sustained damage during transit due to inadequate packaging by FarmSiddhi
  • Short shipment — quantity delivered is less than invoiced quantity by more than the standard trade tolerance of ±2%

Conditions NOT Eligible for Refund

  • Quality deterioration caused by improper storage or handling by the Buyer after delivery
  • Rejection based on market price fluctuations or buyer's change of commercial intent
  • Natural variation in colour, aroma, or size within accepted tolerance levels as per international trade norms
  • Delays in customs clearance due to buyer-side documentation failures
  • Products that have been partially processed, repacked, or used by the Buyer
  • Force Majeure events affecting quality in transit (e.g., port flooding, extreme weather at destination)

Claims Procedure

Step 1 — Notification

The Buyer must notify FarmSiddhi in writing at claims@farmsiddhi.com within the specified timeframes based on the issue type.

Step 2 — Evidence Submission

All claims must be supported by:

  • Clear photographs or video of the issue (product condition, packaging, labels, quantity)
  • Copy of the Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, and Packing List
  • Independent laboratory test report from an accredited lab (for quality/contamination claims)
  • Weighbridge receipt or official warehouse receipt (for quantity claims)
Step 3 — Investigation

FarmSiddhi will acknowledge the claim within 48 hours and complete its investigation within 10 business days. FarmSiddhi may request additional evidence or nominate an independent surveyor at its cost.

Step 4 — Resolution

Upon validation of the claim, FarmSiddhi will offer one or more of the following remedies:

  • Replacement shipment in the next available consignment (preferred resolution)
  • Credit note against future orders
  • Partial or full refund to the original payment method, processed within 15 business days of claim approval

Refund Processing

Processing Time: 15 business days from claim approval

Refund Method: Original payment method (bank wire / LC credit). We do not issue cash refunds.

Currency: Refunds issued in the currency of original payment (INR or USD)

Partial Refunds: Prorated based on the quantity or value confirmed as non-conforming

Return Freight: Buyer bears return freight costs unless FarmSiddhi's QC is found to be at fault

Domestic Orders — Retail/Platform Purchases

For domestic retail orders placed through the FarmSiddhi website:

  • Claims must be raised within 48 hours of delivery
  • Photographic evidence of defect must be submitted to support@farmsiddhi.com
  • Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days to the original payment method
  • Opened or partially consumed products are not eligible for return unless a genuine quality defect is established
